About Me.
Hey there! My name is Jennifer (Jimin) Shon, a rising senior at Portsmouth Abbey School. I love learning about the harmonious connections between nature and humanity, particularly in biology and environmental science.
Currently, I am working with honeybees through hands-on research, which has deepened my appreciation for our ecosystems and the responsibility we share in preserving them. Outside the classroom, I enjoy picking up poems word by word, or playing squash with my friends!
Extracurriculars & Activites
While I find depth in learning for the sake of learning, my heart truly comes alive when I can apply that knowledge in the real world. For example, using the understanding of cell growth in my honeybee research, drawing from analyzing sonnets in literature classes to recite a poem with thoughtful intention, or exemplifying the values of loving and serving my community.
